krup youuu! (ooh ooh ooh!)

So I debated for awhile whether this figure was Schrank or Krupke (it's a licensed NYPD action figure. Uniform replica! Handcuffs! Guns!), but in the end, it was the uniform that convinced me this is Krupke. I might put him in a suit and call him Schrank later, though. Anyway, I expect to have lots of fun reenacting the playground brawl/dance with him!

a licensed NYPD action figure
Who knew?

Definitely Officer Krupke, does he come with a nightstick?

I know, right? Apparently they came out after 9/11, with some of the proceeds going to an NYPD fund or something. There's a fireman, too.

He comes with something that miiight be a nightstick, although it's a bit long and has a handle. Hmm. Plus a flashlight and a seriously long gun. And a walkie-talkie! And a riot helmet and vest. And some little things I can't figure out, haha. He's definitely well equipped. XD

Also, nice icon again! I got a miniature rolled up NYTimes and may or not be eventually reenacting parts of the song. Plus a 1/6 scale Captain Marvel comic for Baby John. Again: who knew? O_O

The internet is so amazing. I also found Captain America comics and various other 1/6 fun stuff (cigarette boxes, checkerboard, chocolate bars, etc) from the same sources, all 1940s and period appropriate enough, since I figure Doc's doesn't look that cutting-edge, haha. I just wish I could find a blue suit for Baby John. Some things are so unexpectedly hard to find. -.-

(Also, thanks to that 1/6 cigarette box place, I have determined that Ice smokes Kool cigarettes. Ahaha.)

I think they were all smoking Kools, that was pretty popular back in the day. I smoked a few of them back then.

Clearly, there needs to be someone who creates tiny costumes for action figures.

I can totally see Riff smoking Lucky Strikes, too. :)

Oh, definitely. I tried learning how to sew so I could do Anita's dance dress, but I was pretty terrible at it. I can at least secure snaps on vintage Barbie dresses for the Jet girls now, though!

Or Camels, my Dad smoked Camels.

Ha! It's so awesome that NYPD action figures exist. I can't quite determine whether he looks more like Schrank or Krupke, but either way, the figure is very cool.

I'm thinking Krupke, since I feel Schrank would have be a bit more cynical-looking, but agreed! XD
